Why is my walking belt slipping? There are 3 contributing factors to a belt slipping. The first and most common reason for a belt to slip is over time the belt has stretched out and needs to be retightened. The second cause of this is that your motor belt under the front casing is worn out and needs to be tightened or replaced. The third and most costly reason for this is the front roller has become detached from its flywheel. The front roller will need to be replaced.
